The BELIEF:
Susun Coleman has explored the use of ancient practices to 'embrace the possibilities' of 'looking at life' through different perspectives. By using these ancient Gifts in addition to our present understanding, beliefs and practices, we may approach a more meaningful outlook for ourselves. Our very sense of purpose, joy and integrity can sometimes present themselves in situations 'outside' of everyday life by exploring...the path to our Spirit. She feels these forms of healing are Gifts from God, and are still applicable in today's living. Women especially, because of strict religious and political repression, have had to 'secretly' hold the 'keys' to inner knowledge, in many cultures. These may be seen as 'tools', not replacements, for religion. Many of these tools have stood the test of time and still may unlock doors for us. I feel a deeper connection to the Universe when someone finds an understanding in themselves which shows them how special and wonderful life can be, even in the face of turmoil and pain. There is 'magic' (love?) in us, if we only can believe it. We are capable of so much.
THE ORACLES:
Susun practices the ANCIENT methods of Feng Shui which embody the Compass and Form School methods of Feng Shui. In her practice, she works with the basic Chinese principles of the oldest Oracle on the Planet (through which Feng Shui comes) called The I Ching. Through 25 years of practice, she has developed an understanding in this traditional practice for the Harmony and Well being of our living and working spaces..
Also ancient, revealing and interesting is the study of the Tarot. Susun has studied the similarities of many Oracles, and the common thread that unites all of them: Our desire to DO and BE what we are 'destined' to be...to help us REMEMBER what we already know....to consider becoming what God intended...to look at ourselves on a 'soul level'. We all have a divine purpose. Every act in which we engage has a purpose toward that goal. The Tarot is a tool to open our eyes for a moment...to SEE what we know...to understand....
